A little About Our Resources:
We build our resources so that they have a variety of activities to use in your classrooms. Most units include anticipatory sets, reading passages, lots of activities (many for INB’s), vocabulary posters, flip books, and much more. This way you have a variety of learning opportunities available depending on the needs of your students and the time allotted for that unit. In addition, many units include character studies where students will meet influential people related to that topic.
Our Ancient Egypt, for example, is a popular unit complete with reading passages, activities, and vocabulary about geography, government, farming, contributions, and much more. Plus students will meet Cleopatra and King Tut, two important historical figures from that ancient civilization. Integration makes learning fun, develops critical thinking skills, and gives students the opportunity to learn about influential people in history that made a difference in the world.
Listen to What Others are Saying:
“This is truly an amazing unit! I personally am not interested in explorers, but perhaps it is because I never had a learning unit like this one. I am excited at the thought of introducing this unit to my students. It is incredibly thorough in the presentation of information and in the types of response activities required by students. While the information is presented in a straightforward manner, the expectation is that students will integrate their new knowledge to form opinions and make inferences. The product is “crisp and clean” without distracting print or visual “clutter” the pages. The vocabulary posters are also captivating with large photographs to illustrate the words and clearly printed definitions. The step-by-step photographs and explanation for how to put together the “Flip Flap Books” is a helpful tool. Thank you for this fabulous product!” —Helane
“Another stellar unit from Heart2Heart Teaching. This unit broke down a somewhat complex topic into easy to understand pieces for elementary students. I especially like the anticipatory page that the students fill out prior to the unit, and at the completion of the unit. A great unit for a superb price! Thanks!” —Renee
“This is the second unit I have bought from you and I love it. I teach 66 5th graders social studies. I just finished the Explorer unit and it was great. I was able to have the kids work independently at centers and complete a finished product. I plan to do the same with the Colonial unit. How did I teach before TpT???? Thanks” —Kristina M.
“Wow – Just WOW! I LOVED this so much I just went ahead and bought a few more different subject area ones from you! These are incredible. The set up was perfect – I did these as stations with my reading groups. We read one passage & learned about 1 trade per day – for the 3 weeks building up to Thanksgiving! Afterward, my kids were sad there wasn’t any more to do! So looking forward to starting the habitats/ecosystems one in January! Thanks so much – I’m hooked!!” —Buyer
