About

Hi to all my friends and visitors. My name is Julieann, and I am the owner and creator of Heart 2 Heart Teaching. I grew up in the country in the beautiful Finger Lakes Area in upstate New York.
In 2012, I moved to Atlanta, Georgia, and love living in the South. I am a wife, mother, teacher, and lover of nature. I am very blessed and thankful for my family and two amazing kids.

A little bit about me. . . Some might say I did it backward because I had my children first and then went to college to get my teaching degree. I have earned a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Educational Technology. Over the last 15 years,  I have taught 2nd, 4th, and 6th grade(s) in both public and private schools.

I am passionate about teaching and creating teaching materials to help other teachers. Part of what makes me unique is that I have taught such a wide range of grade levels from 2nd grade through 6th grade. That has given me great insight as to where students start at a young age and continue to learn and develop important skills that build on each other.

I have the coolest job in the world! For the last few years, I have been incredibly blessed to be able to pursue my dream job as a teacher-author. I don't take for granted how fortunate I am to be able to write and create resources for a living--all from the comfort of my own home office! I am honored and humbled each time one of you visits my tiny corner of the online world. Knowing that I am helping teachers and that the resources I have created are being used in classrooms around the world is the best feeling ever!

A few of my favorite things:

  • Hiking
  • Photography
  • A lover of liquids: English Breakfast Tea, water, and wine
  • Experimenting with new recipes
  • Traveling with my family

Want to contact me?

Fill out the contact form below. I love hearing from all my readers and read every email that comes my way. :)

Please feel free to follow me on Facebook, or browse my zillions of Pinterest boards for inspiration on everything from bulletin board displays to seasonal crafts to do with kids. But my newest addiction is Instagram, where you can see pictures of my resources in action or see what I'm currently working on.

Also, you can always sign up for my newsletter and visit my Teachers Pay Teachers store too!

Thanks for stopping by!
